Canadian Lawmaker Picks Twitter Fight
A member of the Canadian Parliament was unhappy with a rival legislator and took her beef to Twitter, while sitting at the same table with him!

Michelle Simson of the Liberals didn’t like the way Conservative parliamentarian Dean Del Mastro was behaving during an ethics committee meeting, and posted to her 443 followers that “In committee this morning. M.P. Del Mastro should grow up (not out).” Not long after the initial tweet she added a follow-up, saying “Gosh, I hate to see a grown M.P. pout. Smile, Dean!”
After reading the tweets on his Blackberry, Del Mastro then stood up in the House of Commons in front of hundreds of other legislators present and demanded that Simson say she was sorry.
“I apologize that I’m not perfect and perhaps my stature doesn’t meet the criteria that some members of the House might set but I have actually battled that problem since birth,” he said.
Simson apologized publicly, saying she had been wrong, but then she posted a reply on her twitter when called out by a follower, saying that “Nowhere did I make fun of someones weight.”
