Winter Olympic Activities

I love the Olympics and if I was good enough at any one sport I would love to participate. However, my athletic ability is not great. Sure, I held my own in softball and volleyball through high school, which for most is pretty good.

My favorite sport to watch is by far gymnastics because of the talent the girls have. The dedication they put into that sport is unfathomable.

I used to watch them when I was little and stare at the television in awe. I even remember Nadia Comaneci in the 1980 Olympics because my cousin was infatuated with her and was a gymnast herself.

To make YOUR own participant tags so you and your children can participate right along with the other Olympic winter participants in Vancouver…You can also create these easy, peasy scoring cards so your entire family can score right along with the judges. Or, how about creating some medals for the best snow shoveler (because we all know we are digging out from snow right now!)

Or…during our fun snow days get out in the snow and make some ski hills for the little ones, some toboggan runs, or even a bobsled track (to sled with a regular sled, of course!).

I think I might have to try out those score cards. It would be fun to be armchair judges, especially for the figure skating:-)
