Cool Christmas Tree Decor
When I was little my parents used to take me to the Wanamaker’s in downtown Philadelphia to see the huge displays that they did. We would walk the snowy downtown streets, the snow crunching softly, looking at all the windows with their lights and magic. The animated displays were always my favorites. It seemed like I was swept away; frozen in the moment of time that was taking place on the other side of the glass. I can still feel my dad’s arms holding me, the warmth of his breath on my cheek while the window displays catapulted us into Christmas cheer. Then inside to hot chocolate and Christmas cookies, Santa’s lap and dreams of a full tree on Christmas Day.
It shouldn’t be surprising then if I say that my very favorite decor is animated. I like to create little animated vignettes around my house. I saw this Thomas Kincaide tree topper
The Santa flies around and around the top of your tree.
We have a huge Dept. 56 village we put around the tree every year and this topper would be perfect! I am just not sure how well it would show up on an 11 foot ceiling, though!
