Handmade Christmas Tree Ornament How-To
I love to create unique, handmade ornaments every year for my Christmas tree.
In fact, I try and create at least one new one every year. And of course, I love to share how I make them as well.
Last year, I used felt to make a little bird for my tree:

I decided to add a little extra sparkle for Christmas and sewed sequins onto the wings. If you’re not sure how to sew sequins on, I’ve written a tutorial on using beads and sequins together.
Embroidery is one of my favorite ways to make Christmas tree ornaments as well. I’ve gathered several of my favorite how-tos together in one post that you can see online here.
This miniature stocking is meant to be used as a gift card holder, but can be altered by adding a little strip of ribbon as a hanger. It’s a great way to play with different stitches on your sewing machine as well.
