Decorating for a holiday party can be fairly simple, and low cost. You’ll probably already have your house decked out for the holidays. You can add to that with some white lights, use greenery from your back yard to make an evergreen table centerpiece.

Inexpensive ornaments, or pinecones can also be used to make beautiful centerpieces, or table decorations. Just put them in a large glass jar, or arrange them in a shallow bowl or basket that you already have on hand. It only takes a few minutes, but it can add a beautiful splash of color to a food or drinks table.

You can decorate the dinner table with more of the same. White lights or green garland down the center, and Christmas bulbs or pine cones in glass jars will look great, but they won’t cost you an arm and a leg.

Some other inexpensive items you can use to decorate for your Christmas or holiday party include candy canes, candles, tree branches, and wrapping paper. Wrap small boxes with Christmas wrapping (it can even be used Christmas wrapping), and hang them from branches planted in glass or decorative containers. Or place candy canes in little stockings to hang from your trees.

Use your imagination to use what you already have on hand and you can decorate for your holiday or Christmas party even if you’re on a tight budget.

I use antique ornaments to dress up the top of a glass door hutch. You can also weave gold or silver ribbon through shiny store-bought ornaments in a glass bowl. I love your ornaments-on-a-tray centerpiece.
