Plan A Holiday Baking or Cookie Party

If you or someone you know has a son, daughter, niece, nephew, or grandchild in the service, or overseas why not plan a holiday baking party to send some homemade goodies to them and their fellow service people? You’ll have fun doing it, and I’m sure the homemade baked goods will be well appreciated.

You can stick to cookies, or make other baked goods to send out. If several of you know someone who is currently serving you can make each person a care box with a sampling of baked goods, and other holiday goodies inside.

You can conduct it like a cookie swap, and have everyone come with their cookies or baked goods already made up, or you can invite everyone over to bake the cookies and other baked goods together and make an afternoon out of it. You can even make a short video while you’re baking of everyone to send with the package.

Have a good time telling stories, and enjoying each others company while you’re working on a project that will bring others holiday cheer.

When you’re ready to package your goodies, Marye Audet posted really good step by step instructions for packaging cookies for shipping overseas at Baking Delights.
